L* A performative workshop titled “My Mother Was An Animal Until I Grew My Second Set Of Teeth” in conversation with Marie-Michelle Deschamps.
Based on research inspired by the schizophrenic writer Louis Wolfson. Selected participants performed a writing exercise in a trance-like state while, unbeknownst to them, a secondary group of participants, both present in the gallery and in remote locations, attempted to influence their writings through guided meditation.
The workshop included videos by PEAR Laboratories, Robert Sapolsky, and books by Julian Jaynes, Ngũgĩ wa Thiong’o and Victor Tausk
Mystic Insights Ltd. a collaboration with poet and researcher Sandra Huber.
The performance uses tarot reading techniques, Facebook and a text-generation bot programmed by researcher Cody Walker.
The bot is a neural network that has been fed esoteric texts, Walter Benjamin, Bataille, Hildegaard von Bingen and contemporary feminist poetry. When given key text from a tarot reading, it will generate a fortune for the querent.

I created a video where I claimed Jaakko was an invented persona and that I was responsible for all of his artistic output. The video was uploaded on Youtube on July 29th, and we both embedded the video on our personal websites. The identical pages existed in tandem until August 23, 2012.
Sonata Bathétique in C- A performance where text was read by artist Conal McStravick, draped in fabric, standing behind a translucent screen that featured a human-sized print of the statue Circassian Slave by Raffaele Monti. The text was delivered as though spoken by the statue.
His/her speech was periodically interrupted by excerpts of music, which alternate between Ludwig Van Beethoven’s “Piano Sonata no.8 in C- Pathétique” and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “Piano Sonata no. 14 in Ck457
I read an original text printed on cards. The order for reading was determined by using a structure inspired by Tarot Cards.

GENUFLEX A series of performances where I delivered a text, requiring the audience members to chant in unison. The chants were recorded, digitized and turned into a midi file. The project’s final form was a publication.
